Agent Software License (EULA)
The license that governs your use of the downloadable QuietStewardship local agent.
Last updated June 13, 2026
1. License grant
Subject to this agreement, QuietStewardship grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and run the QuietStewardship local agent (the “Software”) on computers you own or are authorized to administer, for the purpose of viewing those computers’ diagnostics and activity.
2. Restrictions
- Don’t resell, sublicense, or distribute the Software as your own.
- Don’t use it to monitor a machine you don’t own or aren’t authorized to monitor (see Acceptable Use).
- Don’t remove notices or misrepresent the origin of the Software.
- You may inspect the Software; if and when source is published, that source is governed by its accompanying open-source license, which prevails for the source.
3. What the Software does with data
The Software reads local diagnostics and serves them on your machine; it makes no outbound connections and sends nothing to QuietStewardship. Details are in the Agent Data-Handling & Transparency disclosure.
4. Updates
We may release updates. Unless you enable automatic updates, you choose when to install them. Updates are provided under this same license unless accompanied by different terms.
5. No warranty
The Software is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. It is an awareness/diagnostics tool, not security software, and does not detect or prevent threats. You run it at your own risk.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuietStewardship and its contributors are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Software, including data loss or system issues.
7. Termination
This license ends if you breach it or when you uninstall the Software. On termination, stop using the Software; you may delete its local data folder at any time.
8. Contact
This document is provided in good faith and modeled on common industry practice. It is not legal advice; QuietStewardship recommends review by qualified counsel before you rely on it. We’ll keep it current as the product evolves.
